Darla is the fourth generation in our home. Daughter of KZ'S My Chalupa "MC" and KZ'S Edmond, granddaughter of KZ'S Marilyn and Chief Copper, and great grandparents Daisy Dukez and CH Exact Classic Ruger. Darla was born March 7, 2024. She just celebrated her 2nd birthday. She has never had a litter and is currently not spayed. We had plans on keeping her to expand our program but we cannot in good conscience breed her.

 

Darla has what is called an elongated palate. This is a condition commonly found in flat-faced (brachycephalic) dogs, where there is excessive tissue that extends into the airway, which can cause breathing difficulties, loud snoring, and at times gagging. Darla breathes heavier when she exerts herself, which then will lead her to gag and spit up when she tries to catch her breath. A surgery to remove the extra tissues in her throat will help this condition and give Darla a better quality of life.

1. A loving home

2. Fenced Yard or access to a fenced yard 

3. Knowledge of the Breed or Have Owned Before 

4. Willing to have Darla spayed 

5. Willing to have surgery to remove extra palate (if desired, if not able to monitor her while doing any kind of activity)
